Are you unsure of how to go about identifying the right keywords for your website or
MLM home business?
Here's a step-by-step strategy that you can use to identify keywords that you may want to target (remember, each of your pages should target its own individual keyword):
1. Brainstorm 5-10 keywords that people may enter into Google when searching for your products, services, or type of business. If you'd like to find local clients, add your city into the keyword as well. For instance, if you're an accountant in Detroit, you might want to try "accountants in Detroit" as one of your keywords.
2. Once you have brainstormed your initial 5-10 keywords, head on over to the Google Keyword Tool. (Simply go to Google and search for "Google Keyword Tool".) Once you're at the site, enter in your initial list of keywords into the box under "Enter one keyword or phrase per line:" and make sure you have checked "Use synonyms." Click on "Get keyword ideas" when you're finished.
3. The Google Keyword Tool will now pull up a bunch of keywords with an estimate of the average number of monthly searches for each specific keyword. Now you can identify which keywords that you will choose for your web pages. You want to identify the keywords that have the combination of:
- the most searches
- least amount of advertiser competition
- most relevant to your website's pages.
For instance, let's say "accountants in Detroit" has over 10,000 searches per month, which is a high number. You might think you want to use that keyword, but if the advertiser competition is really high for that keyword, you might want to reconsider.
A good keyword for you is one that has a good amount of searches per month, not too much advertiser competition, and is extremely relevant to the web page, eg:
AllXClub.
